The Appaloosa Horse Show (AHS) served to attract horseman from throughout the region and provided a judged exhibition of Appaloosa Horses for points, prizes and titles. The show provides both an informative and educational aspect to the fair. This component was opened with regalia exhibitions Fri. Aug. 20 and followed with competitions Sat. Aug. 21 and Sun. Aug. 22. The Appaloosa Horse Show attracted 125
competitors and utilized 20 volunteers. The show was hosted at the Outdoor Arena, utilizing the Livestock Building for warm-up areas and horse stalls. The Appaloosa show’s success and growth will be on display in 2011 as they move in to the Main Arena as the fair’s “pre-event/kick-off event.” The dates for the AHS are August 20-21, 2011.
